B.Ed (Bachelor of Education)

B.Ed. is a professional course that prepares teachers for upper primary or middle level (classes VI-VIII), secondary (classes IX-X), and senior secondary (classes XI-XII) levels.
GTTC is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for the B. Ed. course with an annual intake of 200 students.
The college is affiliated with Patlipiutra University, Patna (College Code: 307).

Duration

The duration of the B. Ed. course is two (02) years. As per NCTE Regulations 2014, it can be completed in a maximum of three academic years from the date of admission to the course.

Minimum 80% attendance in coursework and 90% attendance in school internship is required for appearing in university examinations.

Eligibility for Admission in B. Ed. course

Minimum 50% marks either in Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree in Science/Social Science/Humanities or any other equivalent qualification.

Admission

Admission is based on the ‘Merit List’ of the ‘Joint Entrance Test’ organized at the State level by the agency designated for the purpose by Raj Bhawan, Bihar. Any student seeking admission in the B. Ed. course must pass the 'Joint Entrance Test'. No student can take admission without qualifying the 'Joint Entrance Test'.
