D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) prepares teachers for the elementary stage of education (classes I to VIII). GTTC is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for the D.El.Ed. course with an annual intake of 100 students. The Bihar School Examination Board, Patna is the Affiliating Body of the College for the D.El.Ed. course.
The duration of the D.El.Ed. course is two (02) years. The course may be completed in a maximum of three academic years from the date of admission.
Minimum 50% marks in Intermediate (+2) or its equivalent examination are required for eligibility. Eligibility criteria may be changed as per regulations of the recognizing/affiliating body from time to time.
Admission in the D.El.Ed. course is based on merit, determined by marks obtained in the Entrance Test organized by the Bihar School Examination Board, Patna.
