M.Ed. is a professional course that prepares teachers for upper primary, middle, secondary, and senior secondary levels.
Gautam Teacher's Training College (GTTC) is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for the M.Ed. course with an annual intake of 100 students.
The college is affiliated with Patliputra University, Patna (College Code: 307).
The duration of the M.Ed. course is two years. As per NCTE Regulations 2014, it can be completed in a maximum of three academic years from the date of admission.
Minimum 80% attendance in coursework and 90% attendance in school internship is required for appearing in university examinations.
Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Social Science, Humanities, or any equivalent qualification.
Admission is based on the merit list of the Joint Entrance Test conducted at the state level by the designated agency appointed by the Raj Bhawan, Bihar. It's mandatory for every student to pass the Joint Entrance Test for admission into the M.Ed. course.
